Crash Course

Learn the basics of roller derby in a safe and welcoming environment. This seven-week program will start newcomers on the path towards playing roller derby. Can't skate? No problem! This program focuses on the basics of proper skating form, falling and stopping. What are you waiting for?

Level 1

After graduating from Crash Course, you will be invited to officially join our league to continue to develop and improve your skating skills as well as your stops and falls. Level 1 also focuses on getting you ready to play. You will learn new skills, such as positional blocking, and become more familiar with how the game is played.

Levels 2 and 3

Levels 2 and 3 are where you start to play roller derby. In Level 2, you will begin to participate in low-contact scrimmages, learn blocking formations and whips, and continue to hone your skating skills. Level 3 is amped up to full contact scrimmaging and participation in bouts against other teams.
